How to apply

You can apply online using the link on the job vacancies page. If you want to apply, you will need to create an account on North East Jobs so that you can complete the online application form for the role.

If you need an application form in an alternative format, please contact our Recruitment team by e-mailing recruitment@stockton.gov.uk.

For most of our roles you will need to:

  • read the advert, job description and person specification and other supporting documents, as they will tell you what skills, knowledge and experience we are looking for
  • complete all relevant sections of the application form fully
  • tell us how your skills, knowledge and experience fit with what we're looking for in this role - it will help if you can use examples from your work, education or personal experience
  • we understand AI can help you to improve grammar or refine wording, but it shouldn't be used to create false information. Be honest so that we can get to know you and assess how you fit this role
  • ensure your application form is submitted by the closing date as late applications will not be considered

Once we've reviewed your application, you will receive a notification through North East Jobs to let you know if you have been shortlisted for interview or the next stage of assessment.

If you are applying for a vacancy at a School or Academy the application process will be detailed in the advert information.

Guaranteed Interview Scheme

If you are shortlisted for interview, you can also make a request for reasonable adjustments in order to make the recruitment process more accessible to you and allow you to perform at your best.
