Primary and secondary admissions prospectus

Receiving your offer

We will try to offer you a place at one of your preference schools.

The school place offer is made on National Offer Day. In 2026 this will be:

  • Monday 2 March for secondary schools
  • Thursday 16 April for primary schools

What to expect on National Offer Day - primary schools

You can log in to the Parent Portal from 12:01am on Thursday 16 April to view your child's offered school place. This is all you need to confirm your child's primary school place for September. There is no need to contact us for further clarification.

You will need the email address and password you used when you submitted your application. If you have forgotten your password you can reset it. If you need help accessing your Parent Portal account please contact us (we will respond during normal office hours Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm).

During National Offer Day you will also receive an email notification to the email address you provided in your application.

This is sent in addition to your child's offer of their primary school place displayed within the Parent Portal. You can log in to the Parent Portal to view your offer from 12:01am on Thursday 16 April.

Emails are sent out in batches, so don't worry if you hear that someone else has received theirs but yours hasn't arrived yet. Please check your "junk" folder if you have not received it by the end of National Offer Day and contact us if you have any questions.

Those that applied late or submitted a paper application and where we were unable to meet any of your preferences may receive a letter or an email notification. Letters will be posted on Wednesday 15 April.

If you have applied and you have not received your offer within seven days of the National Offer Day, contact us.

There is no need to contact us to confirm that you accept the offer, only contact us if you wish to discuss submitting a late application with revised preferences.

If it has not been possible for us to offer you a place at one of your preferred schools, you have the right to appeal.
