Emerging development plan and policies
The development plan is a strategic set of documents that outlines the long-term vision, policies, and framework for land use and development. It helps guide future development and decisions on planning applications.
A new Local Plan is being prepared which will be one of the main parts of the development plan for the borough. However, there will be other documents which will be prepared on aspects which are not covered within the Local Plan. At this stage we are proposing the development of a Design Guide Supplementary Plan and are explore the preparation of a Joint Minerals and Waste Plan with neighbouring Local Planning Authorities
