Tony Riordan

Councillor Tony Riordan

Councillor Tony Riordan represents Norton North Ward and was elected in May 2019

I am married to Lesley and we have lived in Norton for the past 32 years. I am a retired Chief Inspector from Cleveland Police and prior to taking retirement I was the lead officer for Neighbourhood Policing in Middlesbrough District. I have also worked in Hartlepool, Middlesbrough and Police Headquarters in various roles and ranks.

Prior to joining the Police Service I served seven years in the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer. I signed up on leaving school at 16 with a desire to get out and see the world, whilst at the same time learning a trade and serving my country. I have spent all my adult life serving my country or the communities I have worked in. I am eager to continue serving my community, helping to resolve any issues and committed to making Norton West a safe, happy and desirable place to live with our families.
