Stockton-on-Tees' traditional markets have been bringing visitors to our town centres for over 700 years.
Stockton Market
Stockton's iconic market 'The Queen of the North' is held every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday on the High Street. It boasts over 100 independent stalls that sell a large range of quality goods and fresh produce.
It's positioned between the Shambles and the Town Hall and towards the north end of the High Street in the northern events space. There's up to three hours free parking in Wellington Square car parks or £1 for three hours in several long stay car parks.
Love Your Local Market Day - Saturday 20 May 2023
Come and celebrate the Borough's market culture and fantastic heritage with the Love Your Local Market Event.
The event takes place in Stockton Town Centre and is among 1,000 events taking place across the country to celebrate the history and values of traditional markets.
Young Traders Market
The Young Traders Market returns to the Love Your Local Market event on Saturday 20 May.
Young people under 30 can take up a stall for free to test their business idea.
Applications for the young traders market are currently closed.
Billingham Market
Billingham Market comes to town every Monday and Friday all year round and is located in the heart of Billingham Town Centre (TS23 2LS).
Stalls include cards and accessories, fruit and veg, discount food outlet, women's clothing, baby clothing and watches, batteries and e-cigarettes. There are also catering outlets where shoppers can sit down, relax and enjoy a cup of tea. Free parking is also available in the town centre.
Thornaby Market
Thornaby Market takes place every Thursday in Thornaby Town Centre, close to the Pavilion Shopping Centre. (TS17 9FF)
Stalls include bags and luggage, DVDs, flowers and plants, watches and batteries, women's and men's clothing, household and domestic products, eggs, fresh fish and fruit and veg.
There's three hours free parking or the option of long-stay parking.
