Hello everyone. I have been covering some of the Leader's duties for Councillor Evans while she is on annual leave.

This week has been an interesting one with a range of meetings, but there are two that I would like to highlight. 

On Monday evening I met with our Community Safety team to discuss the ongoing work in Stockton Town Centre as part of Operation Shield. Real progress has been made due to the hard work of many dedicated people, but we know there is more to do.

On Wednesday I met the owners of a new business, The Boathouse, on Boathouse Lane. This is an exciting project on the banks of the River Tees which aims to open up the river whilst serving fantastic food and drink. I was really impressed and am looking forward to doing what I can to help them with their new venture.

In addition to being Deputy Leader I am also a teacher. This Friday sees the end of a long eight week half term. I am looking forward to a week off next week and a bit of rest. I hope you all have an enjoyable weekend whatever your plans.
