This week I have covered for Councillor Evans whilst she has been on holiday. My first meeting of the week was with Mike Greene to discuss several issues and plans.
Mid-week, Mike and I went to a presentation in Newcastle regarding the Tees Valley Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) Project. This is joint project between the five Tees Valley local authorities, alongside both Durham and Newcastle.
My highlight of the week came on Thursday morning when I joined my students receiving their GCSE results. Being a teacher is an incredibly rewarding job, and seeing students celebrate the results of their hard work is fantastic.
This morning, I met with Council officers to discuss changes to a Council policy which will soon be brought to Cabinet for approval. Later today I will be attending Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's Residential Awards, where I will be presenting three long service awards. The awards themselves are a heartfelt thank you to those who go above and beyond each day, providing stability, hope, and joy to children and young people across Stockton-on-Tees.
