Over 1,500 people have now secured jobs thanks to the "incredible" support from the Stockton-on-Tees Employment and Training Hub, figures have revealed.

This latest statistic equates to more than one person per day into work since the Hub launched in February 2022, including weekends.

The Hub, which is based at Wellington Square, Stockton has supported over 450 businesses with all aspects of recruitment and training since it opened.

Along with the base in Wellington Square, the "Hub on Tour" visits 54 locations across Stockton-on-Tees.

Each year, the Hub holds several recruitment events from apprenticeship events, career change events and sector specific events.

Councillor Richard Eglington, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Housing, said: "Helping 1,500 people into jobs is an amazing achievement and it's clear to see why the Hub has been so popular over the last three years. There is something for everyone looking to get the best out of their job search or career goals.

"The range of tailored support, from one-to-one meetings to CV-writing help and interview techniques, is incredible.

"I am sure the Hub will continue to provide many more exciting opportunities in the future for those looking to follow their dreams."

The Hub is open Monday to Friday, from 10am to 4pm. You can contact the Hub on 01642 528392 or just drop in as you don't need an appointment to visit.
