From bee keeping and seed planting to living more sustainably: Stockton-on-Tees Environment Fair is back!

Pop down to Stockton-on-Tees Environment Fair on Saturday 14 June to explore a range of ways to live more sustainably in the Borough.
Learn about bee-keeping, seed planting, craft recycling, local litter-picking groups, Fairtrade food - and so much more!
The special fair is part of national Great Big Green Week which celebrates community action to tackle climate change and protect nature.
Come along to Stockton High Street from 9.30am to 3pm and speak to local organisations, take part in activities and find out about local volunteering opportunities.
Make a difference to parents and carers by dropping off new or unwanted non-branded and washed school uniforms at the Environment Fair. The Fairer Stockton-on-Tees school uniform collection will help families meet the costs of kitting their children out for the next academic year.
If your child has any sportswear they no longer need you can also donate it to our Kit out the Borough scheme, which provides sports clothing for disadvantaged families across the area to ensure children don't miss out on the opportunity to participate in sport.
Business owners can show their commitment to helping the Borough achieve Net Zero by joining Stockton's business climate coalition.
Cllr Nigel Cooke, the Council's Cabinet Member for Environment, Leisure and Culture, said: "The Council is always looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint and do all we can to help fight climate change in Stockton-on-Tees, but we can only do that collectively with people across the Borough.
"The Environment Fair will host a range of organisations with information and fun activities for people to learn more about reducing their own carbon footprint and living more sustainably - plus there'll be information on walking and cycling routes, as well as electric cars for anyone looking into greener travel options.
"Residents can also learn more about changes to the law that will mean all local authorities in England must collect food waste from all homes weekly from April 2026. The change is part of the Government's plan to minimise waste, drive up recycling rates and lower greenhouse gas emissions, and we're here to help residents prepare."
Organisations, charities and Council services who will be in attendance at the Environment Fair include:
- Teesside Hospice - running a clothes swap and sales stall
- Northern Renewable Centre
- Co-op

- Cleveland Beekeepers Association
- Sustrans - with smoothie bike and a Dr. Bike workshop
