Free boiler servicing

As part of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's Warm Homes Healthy People scheme, we are offering free boiler servicing to eligible residents across the Borough.

Free boiler servicing is available from July 2022 to September 2022 for homeowners. Please note that funding is limited and boiler servicing will be offered on a first come first served basis. 

You need to get your boiler serviced regularly to keep it in top condition for the colder months.

You may qualify if you are in receipt of a qualifying benefit (including Council Tax Reduction, Child or Working Tax Credit (annual income under £16,190), Income-based Job Seekers Allowance, Income-related Employment Support Allowance, Income Support, Pension Guarantee Credit or Universal Credit).

And if you are any of the following:

  • over 75
  • in receipt of disability benefits
  • have a long term illness made worse by the cold
  • live with a child under 5 who has a long term illness made worse by the cold
  • living with a Dementia condition

Heating emergency

In a heating emergency Cleveland Fire Brigade can provide heaters and other equipment and can be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 01429 874063.
