  • we have created a dedicated SEND navigation phone line to signpost families to relevant support

Feedback on Educational Health Care Assessments being declined

It's not always clear why a request for an Educational Health Care Assessment is declined.

  • we have updated our forms and now provide feedback with next steps added if a request to assess for an Educational Health Care Plan is declined

Feedback on opportunities to speak informally to SEND caseworkers for help or advice

  • we have worked in partnership with the Stockton Parent Carer Forum to hold regular sessions for parents and carers with Assessment and Review caseworkers

  • we have secured digital training through the EBSA Horizons Programme for every member of staff in schools and services and every family across Stockton-on-Tees
