6 November 2017 Stockton on Tees Local Plan

The Stockton on Tees Local Plan enables local communities and the Council to shape development across the Borough as it will, once adopted, be the starting point for the consideration of planning applications for the development and use of land.

The Council is undertaking a consultation on the Publication Draft Local Plan.

During the consultation, the Council received responses from 116 individuals and organisations, who submitted 411 representations.

The Consultation Statement (Regulation 22) which provides a summary breakdown of the number of representations received and main issues raised can be requested from the Council’s Spatial Planning Team. Please contact [email protected]

21 June 2017 Statutory Proposal to increase school places at Northfield School  Propose that the size of the school should be set to accommodate up to a maximum of 1650 pupils and that a separate Year 7 School building be built on site. 

Following the conclusion of the 4 week ‘Representation’ period (Stage 2 of the Statutory Process) the LA has approved the decision to increase the number of school places at Northfield School from 1350 to 1650 to accommodate the increase in demand of children.

This was approved at the Council’s Cabinet on 14th September 2017.

27 March 2017 Safer Stockton Partnership Plan 2017-2020 Consultation 

The Safer Stockton Partnership carried out a consultation exercise with all communities across the Borough throughout March 2017.

The Partnership is developing a plan that covers the period up to 2020 and will also look at the partnership’s strategic assessment

Following the consultation period a Community Safety Plan was produced.

28 February 2017 Elm Tree Centre Shopping Parade Consultation   Consultation on the current range of shops and facilities at Elm Tree Centre Shopping Parade and to gain an understanding of improvements   In response to the consultation the street lighting to the shop frontage was improved and a CCTV security camera was installed. 
20 January 2017 The Local Plan Consultation 

The Stockton on Tees Local Plan enables local communities and the Council to shape development across the Borough as it will, once adopted, be the starting point for the consideration of planning applications for the development and use of land.

The Council is undertaking a consultation on the draft Regulation 18 Local Plan.

During the consultation, 108 responses were received with 42 being made via the response form (either online or by post).
