Attended the official opening of the Sea Cadet Unit, Hadrian House, Thornaby Place, this building was in need of severe restoration when it was originally purchased by the Sea Cadets. However through hard work determination and a fantastic fund raising effort especially by Lynne Apedaile, nearly £500, 000 was raised and the entire building was revamped, and is now a fantastic show place for the Sea Cadets to train and study in. It also has an outside area that can be used as a drill area and a secure facility for the storage of their boats. The building was visited by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, Sir Harry Wilmot. I would like to thank the sea cadets for inviting me to this event and for the hospitality shown.

Attended the Opening of the new Protein Store in the Wellington Square shopping centre, this is a new set of stores designed to sell protein supplements as well as stocking clothing, apparel and fresh nutritional fruit smoothies. This is the latest of three stores opened by this company and they are sure of its success. I cut the ribbon for the official opening but in the photographs I was a bit over whelmed by the biceps of the men stood either side of me, I was just thankful I had my big coat on. Can I thank the owners and staff for the hospitality shown if you want to visit their site

Attended the Don Bar in Stockton where they were holding an event in support of Phil Cox, a local man who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. It was absolutely full and there was an array of different sorts on HGV vehicles on display. This is yet another example of how people rally round and give support when needed, I was proud to represent Stockton.
