Attended the Mayor of Sunderland’s Charity Gin and Tea afternoon at Western Roker Hotel. We had an afternoon tea and then went into the Poetic licence Gin Distillery, we were informed about the history of gin making in their vat and then given a taste. I only had a sip as I don’t particularly like gin however it tasted better than I had expected. Honestly only had a sip.

AM

Attended the Reopening of the WICKs store in Portrack Lane, Stockton. This is a fantastic addition and revamp of the original store and I have to admit is more spacious and a feeling of being a lot brighter. I am sure the new store will be a great success and add to the value of commerce in Stockton.

PM

This is the Big One, I hosted my Charity Dinner and Dance at the Grand Marquee, Wynyard Hall. What a fantastic turn out over 360 people attended, creating a fantastic atmosphere, we had the band NIGHT SHIFT entertaining us with Tombola, Raffles, Silent Auction and a Live Bid Auction. There were a lot of dignitaries attended including the Lord Lieutenant Sue Snowdon and Sir John Hall and Lady Mae. I am grateful to all the companies and people that attended to support this function, it was a fantastic success and judging from the feedback was enjoyed by everybody. All monies raised will go to my three charities, Butterwick Hospice, Bowel Cancer UK and Meningitis Now. I also want to thank the staff of Democratic Services for all the help and hard work they have put into making this event the success it was. I was actually dancing until 1 am, shows what you can do on adrenaline.
