Attended Charity dinner at request of Chairman of Cumbria County Council. I made a point of speaking to all representatives who attended extolling the virtues of visiting Stockton and the surrounding area and it’s fair to say I received some very favourable comments back. I also was told in detail especially by Mayor of Carlisle of the devastation caused by flooding in his area and the lasting legacy and pain that the flood has ultimately left behind. I passed on all the best wishes on behalf of everyone in Stockton and our hopes for a future solution to remedy the failing of the flood defences.
