Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council

Big plans, bright future

September 2016

Today I attended a session on the national review of parliamentary constituency boundaries which is a very important issue. The session allowed Members to look further into the details of the review and to voice their opinions on the proposals.

Tomorrow I will be travelling to London for a meeting of the Local Government Association’s Children and Young People Board. Alongside fellow councillors from across the country, it is our role to push forward work relating to the wellbeing of children and young people. It’ll be good to meet with everybody and continue our work to achieve our aims.

Later in the day I will be attending the North East England Chamber of Commerce Tees Valley Annual Dinner in Middlesbrough. The event celebrates all things business across the Tees Valley.

On Friday I will be making the most of an opportunity to catch up on some Council paperwork in the office.

I’m looking forward to spending time with family this weekend.

Middlesbrough travel to the Olympic Stadium in London on Saturday to take on a struggling West Ham side, off the back of a third successive defeat as Karanka’s men struggle to adjust to life in the top division. It could either be a good time to play them or Middlesbrough could find themselves victims of a backlash from the Hammers.

Back to work on Monday and I’ll be catching up with paperwork in the office.

On Tuesday I will be catching up with some senior Council officers to get an update on some developing issues happening across the Borough
