Tees Valley Combined Authority held an induction for all of the Tees Valley Council Leaders today so I spent much of the morning at Cavendish House before returning to Municipal Buildings to do some office work ahead of a catch up with the Deputy Leader, Councillor Jim Beall this afternoon.

The Council’s own Member induction programme is also continuing this week so tomorrow I will be attending sessions covering media and ICT before travelling to Wynyard for this year’s Catalyst Awards.  The fantastic work so many people living across our Borough do day in day out in a voluntary capacity never ceases to amaze me and the awards are a great way of recognising their incredible efforts.  I’m looking forward to hearing about the individuals and teams that have been shortlisted this year.

I’ll be popping into Stockton town centre towards the end of the week to take in some of the Stockton Stages Festival which takes place from Thursday to Saturday and I’ll be spending some time with my family over the weekend too.

Early next week I’ll be joining Deputy Leader, Councillor Jim Beall for our regular update meeting with Interim Managing Director, Julie Danks and on Tuesday I will discuss the forward plan for all the known decisions that Cabinet and Council will need to make over the coming weeks and months with all of the political group leaders.
