Remembrance Sunday: Find your nearest service

Remembrance services will be held across Stockton-on-Tees on Sunday, November 11 - the centenary of the end of World War One.

The services will remember those who gave their lives in both World Wars, as well as more recent conflicts.

Stockton

Stockton Parish Church will hold a service at 9.30am ending with the act of remembrance at the War Memorial from 10.45am onwards. A parade will march up the High Street from 10.35am, arriving at the Cenotaph for the outside service at 10.45am. Those attending the Cenotaph service only should arrive by 10.35am. At this service, the Mayor of Stockton-on-Tees, Councillor Eileen Johnson, will lay a wreath on behalf of the Council.

Thornaby

At 10am those taking part in the parade will assemble in the car park near St Patrick's Social Club, Cranworth Street. The parade will set off at 10.30am, and the Remembrance Service will begin at the Cenotaph at 10.45am where the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Lynn Hall, will lay a wreath.

Yarm

A service will take place in the Parish Church on West Street at 9.30am. This will be followed by a procession along West Street, Bridge Street and the High Street for a short service, Roll of Honour and wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial at 10.50am. The service at the War Memorial will be followed by a procession along the High Street.

Billingham

The parade will gather in the car park of the Salutation Pub between 10am and 10.15am before setting off to the Garden of Remembrance on Station Road at 10.30am. The service will begin at 11am and will last around 45 minutes. The parade will then march back to the Salutation Pub.

Ingleby Barwick

A Remembrance Sunday Service will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Barwick Way at 10am. This will be followed by a walk to the War Memorial (adjacent to the main entrance into Romano Park) for a short service and the laying of wreaths at 11am.

Egglescliffe

A service will be held at St John the Baptist Parish Church on Butts Lane at 10am. This will be followed by a procession to Egglescliffe War Memorial at 10.55am for a short service and wreath laying.

Port Clarence

A service will be held at the Cenotaph at 2.30pm.

Preston-on-Tees

A service will be held at All Saints Church on Dunottar Avenue at 9.45am. The parade will then make its way to the Cenotaph on Victoria Road to lay wreaths at 11am.

Kirklevington

The Church of St Martin and St Hilary on Forest Lane will hold a service of remembrance at 10.30am, followed by the laying of wreaths at 11am.

Wolviston

A service will be held in St Peter's Church at 10.15am followed by a procession to the War Memorial for the laying of the wreath at 10.45am.

Stillington

A service will be held at Stillington Cenotaph on Messines Lane at 12 noon.
