Primary school admissions 2018: Time running out to apply for places
Parents and carers across Stockton Borough are reminded that the primary school admissions deadline is only days away.

If your child was born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014, they will be due to start primary school in September 2018.
Applications close on Monday 15 January and any late submissions will not be considered until places have been allocated to those who applied before the deadline.
Parents and carers can make up to three school preferences in the application and there is no automatic transfer from nursery to primary school, meaning you must apply even if your child attends a school nursery.
Councillor Ann McCoy, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: "I urge parents and carers to get their application done well before the deadline - please don't run the risk.
"The best way to reduce the chance of missing out on a preferred school is by submitting an application before Monday 15 January.
"Your child will be in primary school for a number of years so it is vital you get this process right."
The easiest way to apply is online at school transfers and in year admissions
Your home address determines which schools are your 'zone schools' but every parent and carer can express a preference for a place in any school, regardless of whether or not it is their admission zone school.
To find out which are your admission zone schools, visit school transfers and in year admissions.
Those who apply online and tick the box to indicate that they would like to be emailed the outcome of their application will be contacted on 16 April 2018. Letters will be sent out to notify parents and carers if the box isn't ticked.
Any parent and carer unhappy with their child's allocated school place has the right to appeal and forms need to be submitted by 31 May 2018. Hearings will be held in June and July 2018.
