What is a bulky waste collection?
We offer an effective and inexpensive solution to remove bulky items from your home address. Our service operates on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, collections of different types of items may be on different dates.
You will be presented with the earliest date available for collection, you will be able to select a later date if you prefer upon completion of the online form. Please note the initial date you will be given is the earliest date we would be able to remove your items.
Please note: All bulky waste needs to be placed outside of your property 72 hours prior to your bulky waste collection day.
Before we remove your items
Before requesting we collect any items, have you considered whether they can be donated to charity? Many charities will collect items from your home free of charge. Please call the charities direct for further information.
Other ways of disposing of your waste
Alternatively, you can take your waste to the Household Waste Recycling Centre at Haverton Hill.
What will we collect?
The items we collect are those you would normally take with you if you were moving home. Examples of Bulky waste could include:
- Sofas and chairs.
- Large items such as domestic white goods including fridges, washing machines and cookers. Please note we will only collect up to two Fridges or Freezers.
- Small items such as a microwave, ironing board.
How much does it cost?
There is a charge of £20 for the removal of up to 6 bulky household items. This charge must be paid in advance, you will be able to select the day of collection, upon completion of the online form. Please note a number of restrictions apply.
