Find out all about our latest book promotions and discover a world of new books at your local library. We also have authors and poets who visit our libraries throughout the year so watch the library social media for more details.

Crossing the Tees Book Festival

Crossing the Tees Book Festival is brought to you by the Library Services for Stockton, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Darlington and Redcar & Cleveland. More information about the exciting line-up can be found on the Crossing the Tees website.

Reading Groups

Have you ever wanted to talk to someone about the last great book that you read - then why not join one of our library reading groups? Groups meet once a month either in a branch library or online and usually discuss one title. Some of the groups in Stockton Borough Libraries are recruiting new members now - once the groups are full we will add your name to our waiting list. Contact your local library for more details.

Support for existing Reading Groups

If you are already in a Reading Group in Stockton Borough the Library Service can support your reading by supplying sets of books from our Reading Resource Collection sited at Thornaby Central Library. If you would like more details about any of our Reading Groups or our Reading Resource Collection please ask at your local library or contact your Reading Resources Librarians:

Jen Brittain [email protected] or Ruth Cull [email protected].

You can also visit and share information about your reading group and see the offers available to book groups at Reading Groups for All.
