For Coronavirus information including the current restrictions, any disruptions to Council services, how to book a COVID-19 test and the support available for residents and businesses visit

We will not be planning any physical library events indoors until September to allow us to ensure safety of both staff and customers, although we will continue to monitor the national guidance and will review this earlier if possible.


Tuesday Writing Walks

Tees Women Poets are running a series of free writing walks from libraries across the Borough that are open to all this summer. Walks will start and end at the named libraries and will be led by local poet Chrissie Petrie. Attendees should bring a notepad and camera/phone.

Planned walks:

Stockton Central Library - 6 July at 1pm 

Norton Library - 13 July at 11am

Thornaby Library - 20 July at 11am 

Ingleby Barwick Library - 27 July at 1pm 

Billingham Library - 3 August 11am 

Yarm Library - 10 August at 1pm
