Household Waste and Recycling Centre at Haverton Hill

The Household Waste and Recycling Centre at Haverton Hill is now open to Stockton-on-Tees residents for the disposal of household waste and recyclable materials including garden waste, but you must book an appointment to use it.

We have increased capacity and you can now book for the same day if slots are available. There is a very high demand for slots so please select another date when booking if slots are full.

What are the restrictions?

The restrictions are as follows:

  • You can only use the site if you make an appointment first
  • The site is open to cars, vans, pick ups and trailers
  • Site staff will not be able to assist with unloading

How do I book a slot?

If you want to use the Household Waste Recycling Centre, due to COVID 19 restrictions, you have to book an appointment. You can do this online by clicking the button below.

Book a slot

Appointments are available from 8am to 7pm, seven days a week. You can book a half hour slot right up until the time of your visit if available.

Residents who do not have internet access can book a slot by calling Customer Services on 01642 391 959.

Please note – this booking system is for Stockton-on-Tees residents only. You will need to provide a postcode when booking and bring proof of address when you attend the centre.

Will I need to show proof of address?

Yes. When you attend your pre-booked slot, you will need to show photographic ID (such as a driving licence) as proof that you live in the Borough in order to gain entry to the site.

Can I get into the site without an appointment?

No. Please do not come to the site if you have not got an appointment as you will not be granted access. And if you do have an appointment, please arrive on time as we can only allow you access at the time you have booked. If you miss your appointment slot, you will have to book another one.
