We are working with a variety of businesses on the FIT3 scheme. A sample list of the types of businesses we have worked with are listed below:

  • Hairdressers - dermatitis
  • Food retailers and hotels - slips and trips
  • Post offices - violence
  • Music and entertainment - noise

Our team is also available to offer guidance on how you can keep your business safe.

Accident reporting at work

If you are an employer, self-employed or in control of work premises you will have duties under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR).

They require you to report some work-related injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences and apply to all work activities.

We investigate reported work-related accidents, diseases or dangerous occurrences and co-operate with the police and other emergency services as necessary.

Contact the Environmental Health team on 01642 526575 for more information about health and safety in the workplace.
