Our aim is to improve and enhance community facilities for people of all ages in Ingleby Barwick.
We’ve identified areas for redevelopment that will consist of a range of improvements to create further open leisure space in the area to allow accessible, open space for residents and visitors.
Building on the successful opening of the £14million IB Leisure Centre, we’re working on preliminary plans to improve Romano Park and its existing activity area.
Works to the nature reserve and the option to provide a catering area within the park will also be considered. Our masterplan also explores opportunities for investment on additional activity area on the land to the south of All Saints Academy.
We plan to work with academies and primary schools in Ingleby Barwick to seek input on the design of the activity areas within Romano Park, with works set to commence in summer 2021.
