Notices of Vacancy – Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council
Three vacancies have occurred in the office of Borough Councillor of Stockton-on-Tees. The vacancies are in the Billingham West Ward, Western Parishes Ward and Bishopsgarth and Elm Tree Ward.
An election to fill the vacancies will be held if two local government electors for the Borough, by notice in writing, request that by elections are held. Details of how to do this are contained in the Notices below:

Under current legislation, if the by-elections are called, these will take place on Thursday 6 May 2021 unless this date is brought forward or deferred by the Government.

There will be an election for a new Tees Valley Mayor and Police and Crime Commissioner in 2021. The elections have been delayed 1 year due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
