Due to the COVID-19 pandemic our citizenship group ceremonies at the Town Hall are currently on hold. Registrars at Nightingale House will continue to undertake the group ceremonies at the Register Office so that you can officially become a British citizen

Once it is safe to do so, we will be arranging opportunities for you to celebrate your citizenship at the Town Hall with the Mayor.

Our ceremonies are designed to welcome you into full membership of the British family and into citizenship of the United Kingdom.

We also offer private citizenship ceremonies which are held at Stockton Register Office to those customers who would prefer an individual ceremony.

For information on private citizenship ceremony fees, please visit the Registration Services Fees and Charges page.

Contact the Register Office to find out more information about citizenship ceremonies or to book a private citizenship ceremony or visit the GOV.UK website to find further information about citizenship.

If you wish to contact the Home Office about a ceremony, you can email them at [email protected]
