Citizenship ceremonies

Stockton-on-Tees Town Hall

The Government has announced 'Local COVID alert level: high' restrictions for Stockton-on-Tees.

For further information about the rules and disruptions to Council services visit www.stockton.gov.uk/coronavirus.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic our citizenship group ceremonies at the Town Hall are currently on hold. Registrars at Nightingale House will continue to undertake the process of citizenship so you can officially become a British citizen

Once it is safe to do so, we will be arranging opportunities for you to celebrate your citizenship at the Town Hall with the Mayor.

Our ceremonies are designed to welcome you into full membership of the British family and into citizenship of the United Kingdom.

We also offer private citizenship ceremonies which are held at Stockton Register Office to those customers who would prefer an individual ceremony.

For information on private citizenship ceremony fees, please visit the Births, deaths, marriages and civil partnership webpage.

Contact the Register Office to find out more information about citizenship ceremonies or to book a private citizenship ceremony or visit the GOV.UK website to find further information about citizenship.
