Update on Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) from the Council Leader, Councillor Bob Cook.

Help for the vulnerable and elderly
Vulnerable and elderly residents can continue to get help from the COVID Community Support Team, a partnership between the Council, Catalyst and the Borough’s brilliant VCSE organisations.
The team is only an email or phone call away and can help with food deliveries, shopping, picking up prescriptions or making sure people who are self-isolating and may be worried or lonely get the support they need.
From Monday (17 August), Catalyst will be the central point of contact for the COVID Community Support Team. The helpline number will change to 01642 733906 and will be open between 9am and 12noon, Monday to Friday. Requests for support can also be sent via email to [email protected]
It’s crucial that we continue to follow the national guidance to help minimise the risk of the virus spreading.
While the rates of infection remain low in Stockton-on-Tees, this will only remain the case if we’re all doing our bit.
Maintaining social distance, wearing face coverings and regular hand washing only work as effective preventative measures when we all follow the guidance.
I would like to repeat my urge to you all to please play your part to keep yourself safe, protect your local community and help us be in a stronger position to fight the virus.
Protecting each other, and particularly our most vulnerable residents, is still of the utmost importance.
