Big plans, bright future

Temporary closure of Durham Road A177 southbound

Monday, July 30, 2018

roadworks web

A section of the A177 Durham Road southbound will be temporarily closed from Monday, 6 August so that Northern PowerGrid can replace a faulty power cable.

The southbound carriageway will be closed between the junctions with Darlington Lane (Mile House) and the A1027 Bishopton Avenue roundabout. Northbound traffic will be unaffected.

Signed diversions will be in place and access for Durham Road residents will be maintained throughout the duration.

Buses towards Stockton town centre will be diverted but passengers who usually use the Stand B bus stop on Westfield Crescent Footpath should instead use a temporary stop to the south on Durham Road, near St Crispin’s Court.

The works are expected to take around two weeks, weather permitting.
