BLUE light will bathe iconic landmarks across Stockton-on-Tees tonight (July 5) to mark the NHS’ 70th birthday celebrations.

Stockton’s riverside, Town Hall, High Street and fountains area will all get in on the act.

Councillor Jim Beall, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Health, said: “We will be lighting up landmarks in Stockton-on-Tees to show our support and to recognise the fantastic achievements of the NHS and the dedicated staff who make it all possible.

“We are looking forward to celebrating the NHS and to building on our partnerships in health and social care for many more birthdays to come.”

You can share your photos of the lit up landmarks on social media with the hashtag #NHS70lightupblue
