Your teddy bear and you are invited to the annual Preston Park Museum Teddy Bears’ Picnic.
Head to Preston Park Museum on Sunday 12 August for a day of fun, history and furry friends. Pack a picnic and blanket, and treat your favourite teddy to a fun day out at Preston Park Museum.
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, Councillor Norma Wilburn, said: “The Teddy Bears’ Picnic is a perfect day out for families with small children, offering entertainment and activities in the Walled Kitchen Garden, Orchard, and much-loved Victorian Street of Preston Park Museum, a chance to take your teddy bear to visit the Mobile Library Bus and then to explore the lovely parkland setting too.”
The Teddy Bears’ Picnic activities include going on a ‘Bear Hunt’, arts and crafts with illustrator and author of children's books Liz Million; storytelling with Ivan Limon; face painting (small additional charge), and a chance to make tasty teddy treats with ‘Elizabeth’s Kitchen’.
There will be dance sessions with ‘Funky Feet’ and the chance to take part in fun games sessions with ‘Total Fitness’ too. Plus, make sure you take your bear and other stuffed toys for a check-up with the Teddy Doctor too.
The Teddy Bears’ Picnic will take place at Preston Park Museum, Stockton on Tees, on Sunday 12 August at 10am until 4pm (last admission is at 3.30pm).
Entry is free with museum admission; a Family Ticket (2A+4C) costs £5 and is valid for a whole year. www.prestonparkmuseum.co.uk
