MOTORING enthusiasts will descend on Stockton High Street for a supercar event featuring a vast display of high power performance vehicles this weekend.
Located in the central Events Area in the High Street, Supercar Saturday will be held on Saturday (May 5) from 9.30am until 4pm.
The family-friendly event will showcase up to 30 vehicles including sports cars, American muscle cars and prestige marques.
At 12 noon, there will be a two lap convoy around the High Street giving visitors the chance to hear and see the vehicles in action.
The event will also feature appearances from mascots who will be on hand to pose for pictures, and the Bobby Dazzlers Dance Academy will entertain the crowd with a special performance.
Catering will be provided onsite throughout the day by Smoklahoma and there will be music from DJ Sound is Fashion.
Councillor Norma Wilburn, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, said: “We are thrilled to welcome such a spectacle of high performance motor vehicles and hope residents and those further afield will enjoy this free event.
“Stockton High Street is playing host to some very exciting events and this festival of cars is just a taste of all the exciting things we have planned for the coming year.”
Brought to you by JPC Specialist Motorsport Ltd and supported by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, it is in aid of JPC Community Farm.
Access to the High Street will be suspended for all vehicles from 12 noon for the parade, which will last approximately ten minutes.
The High Street car park will be closed from 6.30pm on Friday (May 4) until 6pm on Saturday.
Buses will continue to operate but will be held in bus stops for the ten minute closure.
Please note that spectators will not be able to exhibit their vehicles on the day.
