AN appeal has been launched to find photographs of a damaged panel at the Globe.

One of the two Art Deco bas-relief panels in the auditorium is complete, but the other was badly damaged after a ventilation grate was installed over it some years ago.

The design team working on the venue are keen to know what the damaged panel looked like.

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, Councillor Norma Wilburn, said: “It is such a shame this beautiful piece of art was damaged to install a ventilation grate at some point in the past.

“The panels are among many historic features in the Globe which is undergoing a fantastic transformation.

“We are urging anybody with pictures of the damaged panel to get in touch and remind us of what they were like in their former glory.”

Photographs can be emailed to TheGlobe@stockton.gov.uk
