Are you brave enough to enter Preston Park Museum and Grounds on Halloween to encounter your deepest darkest fears?
Intrepid souls are invited to this year’s Halloween Spooky Walk on Tuesday 31 October, where a team of Fear Keepers, need help to keep the deepest, darkest fears under lock and key.
Complete a special mission through the woods and grounds to help to capture all the fears, which have escaped into the grounds of Preston Park.
Tickets are now on sale for the spooky adventure but must be bought in advance from the Rediscover Stockton Shop on Stockton High Street or Preston Park Museum.
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, Councillor Norma Wilburn, said: “This annual event is sure to thrill. There will be ghostly goings on at every turn and the creepy experience will give you a Halloween never to be forgotten!
“The Spooky Walk is always hugely popular and this year’s event will be no exception - if you would like to take part make sure you book your tickets well in advance.”
Tickets cost £4.50 per person and under 5s go free but still need a ticket. Tickets can be booked for the following time slots:
- 4.30pm to 5.30pm (families with young children under five years are encouraged to attend this session)
- 6pm to 7pm
- 7pm to 8pm
Access to the park for this event will be by the special Park and Ride ‘Fear Coaches’ only, which is included in the event ticket.
There will be no parking available on site within Preston Park Grounds and Museum or surrounding residential areas.
Pick up points for the free ‘Fear Coaches’ are:
- Tesco car park, Ingleby Barwick, TS17 0WA
- Stockton High Street (outside the Swallow Hotel), TS18 1AQ Yarm
- High Street (outside Yarm Town Hall), TS15 9AH
‘Fear Coaches’ will run frequently during the evening and at regular intervals throughout each hourly slot to return visitors to the pick-up points. Please arrive at your chosen pick-up point with sufficient time to travel to the Park. Limited disabled parking is available on site.
