Retro Market draws the crowds into Stockton

Monday, May 8, 2017

THE LATEST edition of one of Stockton’s specialist markets was enjoyed by hundreds of residents and visitors on Saturday (6 May).

The Retro Market, which offers an array of gifts, goodies and memorabilia, took place on Stockton High Street and also offered visitors the chance to enjoy some sweet treats and sample the sounds of the 1950s to the 80s thanks to live entertainment from vocalist Frankie Heart.

There was also a stunning range of vintage cars on display for the crowds to take a look at alongside the goods offered by the nearly 30-strong list of traders selling at the market.

Councillor Norma Wilburn, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, said: “The Retro Market was once again a great success and I’d like to thank everyone involved for their hard work.

“It was just great to see so many families out and about on Stockton High Street and enjoying their time browsing the market, enjoying the refreshments and taking in the sounds of decades gone by.”
