Meeting to discuss a new heritage group for Stockton

Friday, May 19, 2017

PEOPLE interested in setting up a new heritage group for Stockton are invited to attend a meeting on Monday morning (May 22).

The work of the Central Stockton Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI) Forum, which has provided valuable input to heritage-led regeneration programmes in Stockton town centre, draws to a close in June 2017 as THI grant funding ends.

But two public meetings held earlier this month revealed local people are interested in setting up a ‘Stockton Heritage Group’ to build on the Forum’s work to preserve and promote the town’s heritage and historic buildings.

Anyone interested in helping to set up a committee for a new ‘Stockton Heritage Group’ is encouraged to attend Monday’s meeting, which takes place from 10.30am to 11.30am in Stockton Town Hall’s Ground Floor Committee Room.
