MICHELLE Williams, the winner of a photography competition for the best image captured of the iconic Infinity Bridge, has presented a special canvas to the Mayor of Stockton-on-Tees, Councillor Maurice Perry at a recent meeting of the Council.
Michelle’s photo was judged by the Mayor to be the best, with her atmospheric shot showing the bridge set against a stunning sunset triumphing over 500 high quality entries from around 100 photographers.
The image saw Michelle bag a pair of VIP tickets to the sold out Stockton Calling music festival in March and the photo was featured on the front cover of the May edition of the Council’s residents’ magazine, Stockton-on-Tees News.
The Mayor said: “It was a real pleasure to meet Michelle, congratulate her on taking such a fantastic photo and to receive such a delightful canvas of it.
“She clearly has a great talent and eye for photography. We received a huge number of excellent entries and it was a very tough task to judge the winner.
“I’d like to congratulate Michelle again on such a wonderful image and I know that all of the images taken have been seen by thousands of people on social media and they have all helped to show just how iconic a structure our Infinity Bridge is.”
