WHAT have football, dancing, trampolining, wrestling and face painting all got in common?
They’re all on offer at the Marsh House Sports and Community Centre fun day, which takes place from 10am to 3pm this Saturday (December 9)!
There’ll also be refreshments, mince pies and a rodeo reindeer, with Santa Claus himself dropping in from 12noon to 1pm.
The centre is going from strength to strength since Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council transferred the leasehold for the building to OnSite Building Trust.
Council Leader, Councillor Bob Cook, said: “We’ve had lots of new clubs moving into the centre since the transfer in the summer and it’s great to see it thriving.
“It’s now home to clubs offering trampolining, gymnastics, unicycling, juggling, dance, tap dancing, football, netball, badminton and dog training.
“We’re really impressed by the main tenant, Velocity Trampoline and DMT club, who have installed trampolines in the old pool area and are very keen to grow their offer.
“All in all, this is a great example of how our approach to transferring community assets is creating exciting opportunities for community groups and clubs while breathing new life into buildings.”
