SHOPPERS in Billingham will soon have a revamped parade of shops to visit.
Works to enhance the paving and landscaping as well as create additional car parking at Windlestone Road are nearly complete.
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Housing, Councillor Nigel Cooke, said: “These improvements will make residents’ shopping experience more pleasant and ensure the businesses based there are easy to access too.
“Shopping parades like this are really well used by our residents so we want to make sure that they are well maintained.”
The works, which will be finished by the end of the month, have been carried out by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council as part of a Borough-wide shopping parade enhancement programme.
These enhancements are the latest to take place at Windlestone Road shops. Last year Thirteen worked with Groundworks North East to create a small wild flower meadow with car parking alongside it on the site of Windlestone House, a former office block and flats.
