VINTAGE clothing, collectibles and quality gifts will be on offer as the popular Chic Vintique Market returns to Stockton on Saturday (8 October).
Between 10am and 4pm, visitors and shoppers will be able to browse through a variety of stalls offering a wide range of jewellery and decorative objects, retro home wares and beautiful vintage outfits for themselves or others at the free of charge market.
Entertainment will be provided by Claire Louise, a vintage songstress with a fantastic reputation who specialises in the jazz, swing and big band era with songs from Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Vera Lynn among her repertoire.
Catering will also be on hand courtesy of Moka Coffee who will be selling a selection of hot and cold drinks as well sweet treats and tray bakes.
Councillor Nigel Cooke, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Transport, said: “I’m sure that many people will be looking forward to the return of Chic Vintique to the High Street as it remains one of our most popular offers as part of our specialist markets programme.
“There’s always a fantastic atmosphere on the High Street at the market and it’ll be great to see families out in force again enjoying the town centre as they take a look around. I’d encourage everyone to come down and sample just what our specialist markets are about.”
Organised by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council in partnership with Louise Lewis Events, Chic Vintique forms part of an ongoing specialist markets programme heading to Stockton Town Centre over the coming months to attract visitors into the town and to complement the popular traditional market.
Visitors are reminded that they can park free of charge for one hour in all of Stockton Town Centre’s short stay, off-street car parks.
