STOCKTON Town Centre will play host to a magical Victorian Fair as part of the Council’s winter festival, Stockton Sparkles.
Residents and visitors will be able to take a ride on a charming carousel and look out over the festively decorated town centre from a Ferris wheel.
Located in the central area of Stockton High Street, both rides will be running free of charge and will run between Thursday 1 and Sunday 4 December.
The opening times are 10am to 6pm on Thursday 1, Friday 2 and Saturday 3 December, 10am to 4pm on Sunday 4 December.
Councillor Norma Wilburn, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, said: “The arrival of the Victorian Fair in the town centre is a really exciting addition to this year’s programme of Stockton Sparkles events.
“It is great that both the carousel and Ferris wheel are free to enjoy so that everyone can join in and I am sure that many families and groups of friends will get a lot of enjoyment from them.
"The Victorian Fair is just one element of the packed events programme for this year’s Stockton Sparkles. There’s plenty of street theatre, a Christmas market and a reindeer parade to be enjoyed – so lots of reasons to visit Stockton Town Centre at this special time of year.”
