Shoppers in Stockton Town Centre will be immersed in festive spirit as the annual Sparkles Christmas Market returns tomorrow (24 November).
From Thursday 24 November until Sunday 27 November, Stockton’s popular Christmas Market is back with a range of stalls selling gifts and treats as part of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s winter festival, Stockton Sparkles.
From delicious artisan chocolate by The Stateside Emporium to Patricia Davidson’s children’s toys, Sparkles’ costume jewellery and Wags and Whiskers’ gifts for pets, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
A range of food and drink will be on offer throughout the market and younger visitors will also be able to send their Christmas lists and letters to Santa by visiting his special post office on the High Street.
Councillor Norma Wilburn, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Culture and Leisure, said: “Stockton Sparkles launches tomorrow and what a start to an exciting winter festival ahead! There will be a whole range of goods on offer at the market over the next four days so I’d encourage everyone to make a day of it, come along to do some Christmas shopping and soak up the festive atmosphere.
“The Christmas Market is just the beginning of what we have in store at Stockton Sparkles this year. With the markets, street theatre and events that are taking place, there will be plenty to see and do in Stockton Town Centre."
Stockton Sparkles launches in the town centre from 5.30pm tomorrow night, starting a host of winter events and activities including a reindeer parade, street theatre, a Victorian fair and the Mayor’s Carol Service.
