Final preparations are under way ahead of the Stockton Sparkles Christmas Market opening on Thursday.
A magical Christmas village is being created on Stockton High Street ready to house tasty treats and gorgeous gifts between Thursday 24 November and Sunday 27 November.
With handmade fudge, artisan chocolate, woodland creations, jewellery, Christmas wreaths, mulled wine and much more, shoppers will be spoilt for choice.
There will also be an abundance of entertainment to get families into the festive spirit including street theatre, children’s activities and a live music programme.
Younger visitors can send their letters and lists to Santa using a very special post office staffed by elves keen to help children write to Santa in plenty of time for Christmas.
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, Councillor Norma Wilburn, said: “Stockton Sparkles Christmas Market is ideal for families looking for gifts, tasty food or simply to enjoy the extra special atmosphere.
“The log cabin village is right in the centre of Stockton High Street amongst this year’s larger than life decorations and with street theatre and other entertainment taking place from Thursday right through to Christmas anyone who visits Stockton is in for a real treat this year.”
The Stockton Sparkles Christmas Market will be open 9am-7.30pm on Thursday 24 November, 9am-6pm on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 November, and 10am-4pm on Sunday 27 November.
