Stockton Sparkles continues this weekend as Santa and his entourage of reindeers make their way through Stockton Town Centre spreading Christmas joy and wishes.
At 2pm this Sunday (11 December) Santa Claus, his reindeers and elves will parade down Stockton High Street as part of the annual Stockton Sparkles winter festival.
The popular event will see local youth, school and community groups lead the sleigh along the High Street in a flurry of beautiful costumes and outfits while live music performances by Apollo Arts will help to entertain the crowd.
The parade will culminate in a festive sing-a-long outside the Town Hall where families will also have the opportunity to meet the reindeer up close.
Councillor Norma Wilburn, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Culture and Leisure, said: “Stockton Sparkles has been a great success again this year and as we get closer to the big day there is still time for a visit from Santa and his reindeer. The annual parade is always a popular part of our winter festival so make sure you make the most of Sunday and come along to meet the reindeer, join in our traditional sing-along and enjoy the shops, cafes and restaurants on offer in the Town Centre.”
