By-election to be held in Grangefield ward

STOCKTON-ON-TEES Borough Council is holding a by-election to fill a vacancy in the Grangefield ward of Stockton-on-Tees on Thursday 1 September.

Following the sad passing of serving councillor Michael Clark, a new councillor will be elected to serve the ward area.

Polling stations will be open between the hours of 7am and 10pm and poll cards are currently being distributed to households within the ward.

Anyone wishing to vote but is not registered must do so by Monday 15 August and anyone requiring a postal vote must apply by 5pm on Tuesday 16 August.

Applications to vote by proxy must be received by 5pm on Tuesday 23 August.
