A selection of vintage games, American diner food and novelty collectables are just some of the nostalgic treats making their way to Stockton this Saturday (9 May) for the Retro Lovin’ Market.
The free entry event takes place on Stockton High Street, between 10am and 4pm, and visitors can expect a blast from the past with this retro-themed specialist market filled with gifts and goodies from the 1960s, 70s and 80s.
A gaming area will be on site with games free to play such as an electronic neuron race and giant Jenga.
Local restaurant Pixies Diner, offering a classic American dining experience, will be selling a variety of waffles, bagels, sandwiches and hot dogs.
Live music will come from Simon Carter who will treat the crowd to a series of vintage rock and roll hits from across the decades.
More entertainment will be provided by Georgia Honey, an international burlesque performer based in York, who will travel to Stockton to hula hoop at intervals throughout the day for as long as she can last!
Richard McGuckin, Stockton Council’s Head of Economic Growth and Development Services, said: “From the bustling independent traders found within the Enterprise Arcade to the array of cafes, coffee houses, bars and restaurants – there is something for everyone in Stockton to help them enjoy a great day out.”
