Consultations closing on future planning strategy

Tuesday, March 10, 2015

Stockton Council is reminding residents that they have until Monday 16 March to give their opinion on two important planning matters affecting the Borough.

The Regeneration and Environment Local Plan outlines the Council's strategy for future development and land use, while the Community Infrastructure Levy Preliminary Draft Charging Schedule introduces the levy that the Council can charge on new developments dependent on their size and type.

The consultations are entering their final week, after beginning on 2 February. The Council has received a healthy number of responses for both but is encouraging interested parties to contribute before the deadline.

Comments relating to either consultation should be made in writing and emailed to [email protected] or posted to Spatial Planning Section, Planning Services, Municipal Buildings, Church Road, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 1LD.

Anyone requiring further information on the content of the consultations before contributing should contact Stockton Council's Spatial Planning team on 01642 526050 or [email protected]

All relevant documents are available at and also at all libraries across the Borough.

Any residents that are interested in sharing their views on local issues are also invited to join Stockton Council's Viewpoint panel. For more information, visit
