women running

Women across Stockton Borough are being encouraged to take on a new challenge and give running a try.

Stockton Council’s Leisure and Sports Development team is offering beginners’ sessions for women and girls interested in running to get fit or meet people with similar interests. During the ‘Ladies Active’ sessions, participants will be taught a variety of different techniques and skills to help them achieve different running distances. The course is designed for women who have no running experience and will include ‘Run with Confidence’ sessions to support participants and build confidence as they progress.

Whether you’re a total beginner or just want to increase your speed and stamina, the Council will also be offering guidance and support to help you on your way. Information sessions for the three groups will be held in the coming week.
