Residents of Stockton Borough interested in learning new skills have only days left to enrol on Tees Achieve's diverse range of courses before they start in the autumn.
Tees Achieve, Stockton Council's Adult Education Service provides courses to help adults enhance employment opportunities, prepare for self-employment or boost their self-confidence. They also offer a wide range of courses offering practical activities as well as those designed to build on existing skills such as enhanced ICT or language classes.
Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis so learners interested in any of the courses are recommended to get in touch to enrol before the new term starts in September. In June Tees Achieve was inspected by Ofsted and was rated 'good'. During the inspection Tees Achieve's community learning was praised as being 'outstanding'.
Stockton Council's Cabinet Member for Adult Services and Health, Councillor Jim Beall, said: "The Council's Tees Achieve service aims to give people of all ages a range of opportunities to learn something new, boost chances of finding a job or just trying some creative activity they have wanted to do for a long time.
"The courses offered through Tees Achieve are available at venues across the Borough. I would urge people to take a look at what's on offer which might help them realise an ambition."
