Stockton Council will be holding free ICT workshops next Tuesday as part of Get Online Week 2014.
Tees Achieve, Stockton Council's Adult Education Service, will be holding the free ICT workshops on Tuesday 14 October.
Learners can gain some invaluable skills on how to surf the internet and learn how to save money.
- Comparing fuel costs and finding a better deal - (bring your last annual statement for gas and electricity)
- Uploading photos from your camera - (bring your camera and lead)
- Accessing library services online - (bring your library card)
Councillor Jim Beall, Stockton Council's Cabinet Member for Adult Services and Health, said: "This is a great opportunity to get to grips with the internet with our expert tutors.
"The internet is part of everyday life for many people but there's always something extra to benefit from it. We welcome everyone to take advantage of the free workshops and gain more knowledge on how to navigate the internet to make the most of what it has to offer."
Local resident Louise Gordon, 67, from Eaglescliffe, said: "Using ICT and the internet has become a large part of my life. I'd recommend anyone, of any age, to come along and find out how easy and enjoyable it is."
The workshops will be held from 10am - 12 noon on Tuesday 14 October, at Billingham Community Centre, The Causeway, Billingham, TS23 2DA.
